And with that announcement, I can say that I am already on my way to getting things taken care of for our wedding! One thing off the checklist: Our Father Daughter Dance. Knowing all the family drama surrounding us lately I have been deliberating for some time about whether or not to have a Dad and Daughter dance, and I finally just up and asked my Dad directly what he wanted to do. He was honored, and it took us some time to narrow down the songs we like, but we finally did it. His only condition was that we pick a slower song since he doesn't want to look like a "dancing fool". The runners-up included Brown Eyed Girl (Jimmy Buffett), Over the Rainbow (Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole) and Fly Me to the Moon (Frank Sinatra).
Below is a YouTube video of the song we chose. Dad used to sing it to me when I was little and it always brings back great memories every time I hear it. Enjoy!
